Palataki

Palataki

This small hidden beach lies in a cove between the beaches of Marathias and Lemos, in the area of Porto Koufo. A dirt road leads to it but the access is difficult and you have to walk 1.5 km after Marathias, or you need a 4x4 vehicle (and yet the road is not pleasant).

Palataki is pebbly and suitable for those who seek isolation and tranquility. The water is very clean and transparent since the sea bottom is also covered with pebbles.

In order to get to Palataki, you should follow the instructions for reaching Marathias. There are no signboards. Just before you reach Marathias, you will see a deviation in the left. First the road goes up the hill, then it slopes down to Palataki. If you decide to go on foot in the summer, do not forget to take water, a hat and a sun protection because there is no shade and you will be away from any facilities, shops and people in general. Some people find it easier to reach Palataki by boat.
