Nydri (or Nidri) is a resort on the eastern coast of Lefkada, offering view of the small islands of Madouri, Sparti and Scorpios. The coast around the resort is very peculiar, resembling a peninsula with many small bays, and part of Nydri is in something like a gulf.
The place is the liveliest resort on the island (after the capital). Except for any kind of shops, cafes and restaurants, there are also bars and night clubs working until late in the summer. A rich variety of accommodation options is available. Nydri has a port from which ferries and trips to neighbor islands depart.
The beach is pebbly, with clean water. The sea is usually calm because the nearby islands and peninsula make a natural shelter.
