Nea Iraklia

Sunbeds and parasols at the nearest beach

Nea Iraklia is a small seaside village on the west coast of Central Halkidiki peninsula. It is located next to Nea Kallikratia and both are connected via a coastal road. At the village center you will find a small park with benches, a big church, a few tavernas, bakery and patisserie.

The area is popular with its huge sandy beach which is approximately 1 km away from the village center. The beach stretches for more than 3 km and occupies the entire coast between Nea Iraklia and Nea Kallikratia. The villages have extended around the beach and there are many private houses, villas to rent and small guesthouses with rooms and studios to rent. In the summer the place is well managed by a couple of beach bars, with plenty of free space between them. The water is blue and transparent but there are often waves in this part of the peninsula, and the sea bottom varies from shallow to relatively deep around the shore. Here is also the biggest beach bar in Greece, called Sahara Resort.
