Makryammos

Makryammos (or Makriammos) is a sandy beach located in a small bay, 2 km from the capital of Thassos, Limenas. The beach is maintained by the hotel complex Makryammos and it is Blue Flag awarded. The hotel provides sunbeds, parasols, changing cabins and showers but visitors who are not guests of the hotel pay entrance fee to access the beach.

The beach has soft sand (no pebbles or rocks in the sea) and people with small children love it because the water is shallow many meters ahead. Except for the beach bar there is a also a seaside restaurant offering traditional Greek and Mediterranean cuisine.

Next to the hotel entrance starts the dirt coastal road which leads to the marble beaches of Saliara and Porto Vathy.
