Livadia
Livadia is the main beach of Parikia, located in the same gulf and at a distance of less than 1 km from the port. Many of the hotels in the capital are scattered around this beach and there are regular buses that can give you a ride to the center and the old town of Parikia.
Livadia is sandy, with shallow water and almost no waves, due to its location. There are sunbeds and parasols offered by the beach tavernas and cafes, and in the water inflatable facilities for the little ones are available like slides and bouncy castles. That is why the beach is preferred also by families with children. Because of the many hotels around Livadia, in July and August it may get crowded and noisy.
