Ligia

One of the beaches

Ligia is a small harbor on the Ionian seaside, with a couple of large and almost empty beaches. Due to its location, winds are often present here and big waves may appear (and sometimes there are surfers), but this is the most suitable place in Preveza region if you want privacy and isolation. The beaches are sandy, mixed with gravel, and there are no beach facilities, except for a cantina (only in high season) and a taverna near the harbor. Most of the houses in the area are private but rooms to rent are available. The longest beach of Ligia, on the way to the neighbor settlement of Riza, is known as Chimadio, after the name of an inner village nearby.
