Kato Stalos

Kato Stalos

Kato Stalos is the seaside area of the inland village of Stalos, as both are separated by the main road Chania-Kissamos. It has merged with the neighbor Agia Marina to the west and continues developing to the east where Kato Daratso is. Chania Town is 7 km away.

Like the rest north resorts near Chania Town, Kato Stalos is lively and offers all kinds of facilities for tourists. There are numerous big and small hotels, super markets, shops, rent-a-car, restaurants, cafes and bars. The beach of Kato Stalos is long and wide in its most, with soft yellow sand (no pebbles here) and shallow water. Some of the beach hotels offer sunbeds and parasols for their guests, others are rented by beach bars, and there is also free space in between them.

The old part of the village, known as Ano Stalos or just Stalos, is on a small elevation and has old houses and narrow roads. Accommodation there is presented by a few hotels and villas which guarantee calmer atmosphere than the seaside part of the village.
