Kalandra is a village built on the top of the hill where the ancient town of Mendi existed. It is located 97 km away from Thessaloniki, on the western coast of Kassandra. There are family hotels and studios for rent, though not much, and several restaurants.
Nearby you can see the remains of the wall of the ancient city of Mendi which in the past was famous for the donkey races organized there and donkeys were engraved even on its coins.
The beach is 1 km from Kalandra, long sandy strip touching the crystal sea. Possidi beach, which is 1 km away, can also be visited.
