Kakoudia

Kakoudia is a beach on the north coast of Mount Athos peninsula. It is part of a long strip of coarse sand which starts from Ierissos and spreads for a few kilometers to the north.

At Kakoudia you can see a few peculiar rock formations around the shore. The sea bottom is relatively deep and in windy weather large waves appear, and for this reasons the beach is not very popular. One small beach bar operates there in the summer, and behind the beach there are several hotels.
