Gerani

The beach in front of Gerani village is part of the very long beach strip which stretches for kilometers and is common for a couple of villages. Nevertheless Gerani is much calmer than the neighbor densely built resorts of Platanias and Agia Marina. Chania Town is 14 km away.

Gerani beach is pebbled and Blue Flag awarded. It offers beach facilities, as well as some water sports, yet there is plenty of free space. The hotels at the beachfront are mainly large-size, studios and apartments can be found in the inner part of the village along the main road to Kissamos. You will also find general shops and supermarkets. Gerani is a good place to stay if you are not looking for nightlife and you prefer less people on the beach.
