Douliana

Douliana

The traditional settlement of Douliana lies a few kilometers inwards from the gulf of Almyrida. The original old stone houses of the village can still be seen, mixed with newly built hotels and villas.

Douliana is a quiet place which is less affected by the tourists of the nearby seaside resorts. There is only one small cafe at the square, two taverns and a mini market but you can find everything else you need in Kalyves and Almyrida, including a choice of sandy beaches and tiny rocky coves for swimming. A hiking trail leading to the neighbor village of Gavalochori will take you to a small cave chapel called Agios Ioannis.
