Chrisopigi

This is the area around the famous Chrisopigi Monastery of Sifnos, and not a village as someone may think. You can also see it written as Chrissopigi or Chrissopygi. There are hotels scattered on the hills above and around the monastery, as most of them boast a marvelous sea view.

Behind the beach of Apokofto, which is next to the rocky cape with the monastery, you can find a few traditional tavernas but no shops or services are available. The larger seaside resort of Platis Gialos is approximately 3 km away, and if you like walks, you can also go to the neighbor Faros via the hiking trail from the chapel of Agios Charalampos (the hike takes just 20 minutes from Apokofto).
