Ammolofi
Ammolofi (meaning sandy dunes) is a famous beach in Northern Greece, located in a rural area near the village of Nea Peramos. It consists of 4 large sandy coves with dunes and transparent blue water. The total length of the beach is about 3 kilometers, and the coves are separated by low sea cliffs which can be easily crossed on foot.
Ammolofi is awarded with Blue Flag and has a line of beach bars offering sunbeds, umbrellas and covered parking lots for theirs guests. Except for two villas to rent, there are no other hotels or buildings nearby - the beach is surrounded by fruit gardens and vineyards. The beach bars offer food, drinks, changing rooms and showers so clients can easily spend a whole day by the sea.
The seafloor around Ammolofi is not equally shallow everywhere but it gets deep gradually and the beach is suitable for kids. In windy days big waves may appear.
