Agios Stefanos-East

Confusing is the fact that Corfu has several places with duplicate names and Agios Stefanos is one of them. There are two resorts with the same name - one on the northeast coast and one on the northwest. This one is on the east coast, 35 km away from the capital Corfu Town.

Agios Stefanos-East is a small harbor village with a line of seafront tavernas and several mini markets. It lies in a scenic little cove, surrounded by green hills. From here you can hire a boat to explore the coastline and beaches in this part of the island. There is no beach in Agios Stefanos but some people use the narrow strip of smooth pebbles next to the harbor for sunbathing.
